My Story

I am running the 2024 Belfast Marathon for Tinylife and NICU ward at the Ulster Hospital.

On 14th January 2023, Oliver was born. Arriving 4 weeks early, Oliver entered the world with a bang and faced a very challenging start to life. After what was a perfectly normal pregnancy, this quickly changed. Oliver had an extremely traumatic birth, he arrived via emergency C-Section, i spent 4 hours in theatre, and he had an unknown future ahead. Oliver spent two weeks in the NICU ward at the Ulster Hospital, undergoing cooling therapy and a number of other treatments. Finally, after a long two weeks, he came home! Oliver has since proven his expected outlook wrong and is a very happy, thriving young boy.

The care Oliver received was incredible from the moment he was born, from both NICU and TinyLife. We have attended TinyTIme each month since and have made many friends along the way. He has even visited the NICU ward too.

This fundraising is my thank you to eveyone that helped along the way, we wouldnt be here without you all.
